Full Job Description
Job Summary:

Tweddle Group is seeking an On-Site Technical Project Engineer to support a Fleet Service Management (FSM) data collection program for an autonomous vehicle client. The Engineer will work on site with the client's engineering and data governance teams, serving as the day-to-day link between the client and a distributed Tweddle authoring team based in Detroit and Chennai. The role covers active production support through February 2027 and leads ramp-down and handoff activities through March 2027.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The Technical Project Engineer job duties are as follows:
  • Serve as the daily on-site point of contact for the client's Serviceability Engineering and Digital Governance teams on FSM data collection.
  • Support entry and validation of service procedure data (removal and installation, maintenance) into the client's FSM data structure.
  • Research and verify procedure details using client PLM systems (3DEXPERIENCE / CATIA), CAD data, and existing technical publications.
  • Resolve open questions from remote authors by working directly with client engineers and relay answers back to the team quickly.
  • Perform quality checks on completed procedures for accuracy, completeness, and template compliance
  • Track progress, throughput, and issues against project targets, and report status to the Tweddle project manager.
  • Flag access, tooling, or timeline risks early so they can be addressed before they affect delivery
  • Lead ramp-down activities, including final QA passes, documentation of open items, knowledge transfer, and handoff of deliverables to the client.


Basic (Required) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as technical project coordinator or related technical field.
  • Experience working with OEM engineering teams.
  • Working knowledge of PLM/3DEXPERIENCE CATIA and the ability to navigate CAD models and engineering structures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong proficiency with Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong initiative and self-direction.
  • Team-oriented attitude with detail-oriented mindset.
