Description
LMI Technology Program Management is hiring a Technical Program Manager to lead technology delivery for one or more technical programs or technical components of broader business programs. This is a program leadership role for the AI era: translating strategy into executable plans, managing program governance and risk, and serving as a neutral, execution-focused partner for stakeholders across overall program leadership, Technology, Data, shared services, and other functional groups.
The TPM role is focused on the technical execution of the program - embedding AI assistants, automation, and data-driven decision-making into governance, reporting, and delivery operations.
INITIAL SCOPE
This role will initially be responsible for managing two active programs: the migration of our orchestration platform, and LMI's component of our enterprise user access and RBAC modernization effort. The latter is already leveraging AI capabilities, with agentic solutions a potential part of the evolving solution landscape - this role will be expected to stay closely attuned to that as the program develops.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Delivery & Delivery Management
- Driving and monitoring end-to-end technical program execution: developing and maintaining multi-domain delivery plans that sequence technical work, integrations, and program increments - increasingly leveraging AI tools to improve visibility and delivery intelligence.
- Providing consistent, accurate, and timely program status, decisions, and delivery logistics to stakeholders and leadership.
- Running delivery operations: coordinating cutovers, command-center execution, hypercare, and handoffs to BAU/operations.
Governance, Risk & Dependency Management
- Supporting program governance for technical programs and the technical components of business programs, ensuring timely escalation and clear accountability for decisions.
- Taking a more active governance role where no overall program lead exists outside the technology organization.
- Managing technology program risks: identifying, quantifying, and mitigating risks; leveraging AI-assisted analytics to surface leading indicators and escalate proactively when delivery, timeline, or budget is threatened.
- Continuously mapping and managing dependencies across teams, domains, and portfolios - applying AI tools to detect, communicate, and drive resolution of slips before they impact downstream commitments.
Metrics & Reporting
- Defining, collecting, and reporting program delivery KPIs, team health, and quality indicators - leveraging AI-assisted tools and dashboards to reduce manual compilation and surface risks earlier.
- Tying program reporting to business outcomes.
Stakeholder Management & Influence
- Building and maintaining stakeholder management plans for technical execution; communicating trade-offs clearly; identifying and reducing friction that impedes delivery.
- Partnering closely with technology and business counterparts across the organization to ensure alignment, timely decisions, and clear insights that support data-driven decision-making at the leadership level.
AI & Evolving Delivery Practices
- Leveraging AI tools to improve how programs are managed and delivered - from automating reporting and governance workflows to applying AI-generated insights to risk and dependency management.
- Staying current with emerging AI and agentic capabilities, evaluating where they can be applied to improve program delivery, and helping scale what works across the TPM community.
- Applying sound judgment on responsible AI use, ensuring adoption aligns with enterprise standards for security, data privacy, and ethics.
Community & Continuous Improvement
- Playing an active role in the agile delivery community - interfacing with engineering managers, engineers, and agile delivery leads; staying closely attuned to delivery cadence and team dynamics without owning agile practices directly.
- Helping to build and define the TPM practice at LMI Tech: contributing reusable playbooks, tools, and AI-assisted assets that establish consistent delivery standards across technology programs.
- Engaging with the broader enterprise TPM community to share best practices and drive cross-program improvements.
- Piloting new ways of working as the delivery function evolves, and scaling what works.
- Leading complex program workstreams with limited direction while escalating appropriately.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years' experience delivering software solutions in an agile environment, including experience leading complex, cross-functional programs.
- Familiarity with agile delivery practices and the ability to engage effectively with agile teams across domains.
- Strong technical fluency - able to engage credibly on architecture, integrations, cloud platforms, and data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience using generative AI and agentic tools to improve program execution, with enough working knowledge to evaluate use cases, guide adoption, and stay current as the toolset evolves.
- Experience in asset management, financial services, or other regulated industries is a plus.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and portfolio management tools.
- Demonstrated strength in governance, risk management, and dependency mapping.
- Able to define metrics, interpret analytics, and apply sound judgment to AI-generated insights.
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, with the ability to negotiate, build consensus, and communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders at all levels.
- Comfortable operating with limited guidance in fast-evolving environments.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
