Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager with strong expertise in hardware development, firmware integration, New Product Introduction (NPI) execution, cloud telemetry and diagnostics, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) coordination, and end-to-end hardware lifecycle management. This role requires a technically strong program leader who can drive cross-functional execution across engineering, manufacturing, and cloud service teams to deliver high-quality hardware programs at scale.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and execute cross-functional programs spanning hardware, firmware, operations, suppliers, and cloud service teams.
• Own program schedules, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and executive reporting.
• Coordinate hardware engineering activities across electrical, mechanical, firmware, and validation teams.
• Drive firmware readiness, including BIOS, BMC, and diagnostics, and align these activities with hardware development milestones.
• Lead NPI phases, including EVT, DVT, and PVT, factory readiness, and build execution, ensuring a smooth transition to mass production.
• Facilitate FMEA activities, track mitigation actions, and integrate outcomes into design and validation workflows.
• Partner with cloud telemetry and diagnostics teams to enable monitoring, predictive maintenance, and field data analysis.
• Manage hardware lifecycle activities, including sustaining operations, Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes, component changes, and field issue resolution.
• Support root-cause investigations, ensure technical issues are resolved, and improve reliability and serviceability.
• Drive effective communication and alignment across engineering, operations, suppliers, and leadership.
Required Qualifications
• 7-12+ years of experience managing complex hardware, firmware, or cloud system programs.
• Strong understanding of server/PC architecture, hardware bring-up, BIOS/BMC workflows, and diagnostics.
• Hands-on experience with NPI processes, including EVT, DVT, and PVT builds and manufacturing readiness.
• Proven expertise in FMEA, quality engineering coordination, and risk management workflows.
• Experience with cloud telemetry, remote diagnostics, and field data trend analysis.
• Excellent program management, cross-functional leadership, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to drive technical triage, root-cause analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure hardware, including Azure, AWS, or GCP, or data center platforms.
• Knowledge of reliability engineering, sustaining operations, and hardware quality processes.
• Familiarity with Jira, Agile methodologies, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, and manufacturing execution tools.
• PMP, Scrum, or other formal program management certification is preferred but optional.
