Application Deadline: 12/15/2026
The OpportunityWe're looking for a
Senior Product Manager to join the Auth Team, the group that owns the identity, authentication, and authorization platform underneath every product at DAT. You'll partner with engineering to make sure the auth building blocks, libraries, APIs, access tokens, and internal testing patterns, are standardized, well-documented, and easy for other teams to adopt correctly. This is a platform-building role: your customers are both internal (product teams building web and mobile applications) and external users logging in to those applications. You'll plan and drive execution from requirements through launch. DAT has acquired 4 companies in the last 2 years, and you'll help form the strategy to seamlessly consolidate customer identity across our newly acquired product offerings, ensuring a scalable technical architecture. This role reports into the Engineering Identity Team and works closely with Platform Engineering, Product Design, and Security.
What You'll Do- Standardize how internal teams use auth building blocks, client libraries, APIs, access tokens, and test patterns for auth-dependent code, so adoption is consistent, secure, and low-friction across engineering.
- Own execution of near-term platform initiatives, e.g. MFA adoption, AuthZ model improvement, service-to-service authentication within a container environment, translating security and platform requirements into clear specs and sequencing work with engineering.
- Drive continuous discovery alongside Product, Engineering, and Compliance, to surface a prioritized, well-documented roadmap.
- Write and maintain adoption guides and internal documentation that reduce repeat questions and drive consistent usage of the auth platform.
- Work with both US-based, and international engineering teams.
- Define success metrics, monitor rollout health after launch, and use data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Present upcoming features, migrations, and their rollout plans to cross-functional stakeholders.
The Skills and Experience You'll Bring- 5+ years of product management, engineering, or related experience in web or mobile application development.
- Working knowledge of software platform development including API/library design for internal consumers.
- Working knowledge of identity/access management (IAM) concepts, SSO, MFA, authentication vs. authorization, and token types deep enough to have credible conversations with engineering about trade-offs.
- Strong ability to gather requirements, reduce ambiguity, and communicate crisply across technical and non-technical audiences, in both written and verbal form.
- Demonstrated execution rigor: ships features with urgency and quality, and contributes actively to roadmap discussions.
- Fluency with product and platform metrics, able to read dashboards, identify the right success metrics, and build basic views independently or with support from data/analytics.
- Ability to connect day-to-day execution to broader strategy and explain how roadmap choices support DAT's long-term goals.
Nice to Have- Technical writing experience.
- Experience with Auth0 or similar SaaS-based IdP using OAuth2/OIDC.
- Direct experience developing software.
- SQL or other data querying skills.
- Experience supporting internal developer platforms or tools.
- Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and AD&D insurance
- Parental Leave
- Flexible Time Off (FTO)
- An additional 10 holidays of paid time off per calendar year
- 401k matching (immediately vested)
- Employee Stock Purchase Plan
- Short- and Long-term disability sick leave
- Flexible Spending Accounts
- Health Savings Accounts
- Employee Assistance Program
- Additional programs - Employee Referral, Internal Recognition, and Wellness
- Free TriMet transit pass (Beaverton Office)
- Competitive salary and benefits package
- Work on impactful projects in a cutting-edge environment
- Collaborative and supportive team culture
- Opportunity to make a real difference in the trucking industry
- Employee Resource Groups
