Full Job Description
As Technical Manager, Software Platform Engineering, you will lead an engineering team within the Software Platform organization, which builds and operates the foundational services that power the firm's research and trading systems. The Software Platform organization owns the firm's HPC compute cluster, cloud environments, developer experience tooling, data platform, and operational data systems. The organization is growing, and we are looking for someone excited to be part of a platform team with a broad mandate. Your initial focus will be on developer experience - the build systems, CI/CD infrastructure, developer tooling, and deployment automation that enable engineers to build, test, deploy, and maintain software across the company - with the opportunity to expand into cloud platform services as the team evolves, including intelligent workload placement and routing, cloud resource optimization, cost governance, and operational reliability for research workloads. Your team will deliver highly reliable, performant platforms with high availability, strong observability, and consistent performance. You will improve engineering velocity and researcher productivity by reducing friction, standardizing workflows, and modernizing tooling.
