PeopleTec is seeking a Technical Lead / Senior Engineer in Huntsville, AL, to lead the technical development of an on-premise AI system supporting the H-1 flight simulator. You will lead a small engineering team, establish the system architecture and technical baseline, guide AI and software development, and make technical decisions related to system performance, integration, and safety. You will also perform hands-on engineering work as needed.
Duties:
Lead the system architecture and technical baseline for the AI, software, compute, and simulation-integration components.
Guide selection, development, integration, and deployment of speech, language-model, and supporting software capabilities for on-premise operation.
Lead development of AI safety and validation controls that prevent unsafe or invalid outputs from affecting the simulator.
Perform hands-on engineering work in areas such as speech and command processing, model adaptation, and system performance.
Lead technical reviews, troubleshooting, and readiness decisions; explain technical decisions and tradeoffs to the customer.
