As Technical Director, Transit, Bus & Fleet, you will shape transformative transportation solutions that help communities move safely, sustainably, and efficiently. Your Impact
• Lead the technical delivery of complex bus transit, fleet electrification, zero-emission vehicle, transportation systems, and transit infrastructure programs.
• Direct major multidisciplinary transportation, transit, and fleet transformation assignments, with executive oversight of scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, commercial performance, and client satisfaction.
• Drive business growth through trusted client relationships, opportunity capture strategies, proposal leadership, and market and account plans that build revenue, backlog, and long-term partnerships.
• Lead and mentor a national team of Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators, fostering accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, and strong delivery performance.
• Provide strategic governance throughout project delivery, guide teams, resolve escalated issues, and support effective decision-making.
• Build trusted relationships with transit agencies, municipalities, fleet operators, utilities, government organizations, and industry partners.
• Champion transportation electrification, emerging technologies, systems innovation, and digital transformation while collaborating with regional, national, and global teams.
• Represent WSP at industry events and executive client engagements, while ensuring work is delivered safely and in accordance with quality, regulatory, contractual, and client requirements.

The Skills That Set You Apart
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; a Master's degree is considered an asset.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing with a Canadian engineering regulator. This requirement is mandatory.
• Extensive leadership experience in transit, transportation systems, fleet electrification, fleet management, transportation infrastructure, or related programs.
• Proven success as a Project Director, Program Director, or senior delivery leader on large, complex, multidisciplinary transportation or infrastructure assignments.
• Experience leading project governance, commercial management, client relationships, and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Demonstrated success in business development, opportunity capture, proposal leadership, strategic client account management, and revenue growth.
• Experience developing Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators, with a strong ability to coach and grow high-performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of transit systems, transportation infrastructure, fleet electrification, and transportation technologies, supported by executive-level communication, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and presentation capabilities.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $194,700 - $257,900
MB & ON: $177,600 - $244,600
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $175,800 - $233,500
