Develop technical documentation and designs; analyze and test applications and data structures; provide end-user support and training for new applications and data structures; and conduct post-implementation reviews of systems and reporting solutions that support customers and management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Work Experience
Level 1:
- One year of college-level coursework in system requirements design and interpretation and/or the support of production systems.
Levels 2-4:
- Three years of experience in computer technology and/or information systems.
- Two years of experience in data analysis, data management and integration, data extraction, and analytical reporting.
Required Education
All Levels:
- High school diploma or GED in a general field of study.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
LEVEL 1: TECHNICAL ANALYST I
Entry-level role. Performs job functions under close supervision or peer review.
Production Support
- Track and resolve basic or routine processing problems while coordinating with appropriate business and technical areas.
- Research, analyze, track, and resolve basic production problems.
- Develop business objectives, processing requirements, and technical specifications.
- Analyze files and map data from one system to another.
- Support production cycles, resolve production incidents, and provide notification of problems.
- Write SQL queries needed for production support.
Quality Assurance
- Develop basic test data.
- Process test files and analyze test results.
- Execute test cases and scripts; document results, log defects, and perform regression testing.
- Perform test execution and defect reporting using testing tools.
- Assist with root-cause analysis and the triage of key or critical defects.
- Monitor and track the traceability of business requirements through test execution.
- Participate in defect-review meetings to explain or demonstrate defects.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries to test results and create mock data for testing and reporting.
Technical Analysis
- Learn business and system data and process flows, including how they affect surrounding systems and operational areas.

TECHNICAL ANALYST LEAD
Performs job functions in a lead capacity.
- Perform the essential functions assigned to applicable lower levels.
- Serve as the primary operational contact for internal and external customers when needed or in the manager’s absence.
- Ensure that service-level agreements between the department and operational or technical areas are met.
- Lead, develop, and mentor staff by providing growth opportunities through delegation, training, and assignments to project teams.
- Inform the manager of issues affecting the department’s efficient and effective performance, including system, resource, and information barriers.
- Provide team members with timely performance feedback.
- Assist the manager with the department’s day-to-day operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ALL LEVELS
- Each progressive level must be able to perform the essential functions of lower levels and mentor employees at those levels.
- Remain current on developments in technology-related industries.

- Work a full-time schedule of at least 40 hours per week, plus additional hours as requested or needed to meet business requirements.
