TECH MODERNIZATION SR MANAGER

HOW A TECHNICAL MODERNIZATION Sr Manager WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Responsibilities:

AI-Driven SDLC Adoption

• Lead adoption of AI-assisted development tools and workflows across SecDevOps teams
• Integrate AI capabilities into key phases of the SDLC including:
  • Code generation
  • Automated testing
  • Documentation
  • Backlog refinement
  • Operational analysis
• Measure and track productivity improvements resulting from AI adoption

Engineering Modernization

• Lead modernization initiatives including:
  • Microservices architecture
  • API-driven integration
  • Data Modernization
• Guide SecDevOps teams in reducing technical debt and improving system scalability

Engineering Leadership

• Partner with architects and engineering leads to align technical execution with modernization goals
• Challenge teams to adopt modern development practices and engineering automation
• Facilitate technical planning sessions and modernization roadmaps

Cross-Team Engineering Coordination

• Ensure alignment across development, platform, data, and operations teams
• Identify delivery risks and technical dependencies across workstreams

Executive Technical Communication

• Translate technical modernization progress into clear narratives for leadership
• Demonstrate modernization impact in terms of delivery speed, scalability, and engineering productivity

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of modern software architecture and system design
• Experience with microservices architecture and API driven systems
• Strong knowledge of AI assisted development tools and workflows
• Experience with implementing AI tools for software development productivity
• Experience leading engineering transformation initiatives
• Ability to influence engineering teams and drive change
• Strong technical communication skills

Desired Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Experience with SecDevOps pipelines and CI/CD automation
• Experience supporting large modernization programs or enterprise platforms
• Familiarity with data platforms and AI/ML development environments

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or technical leadership
• Experience leading engineering modernization initiatives
• Experience working in Agile and SecDevOps delivery environments
• Experience guiding engineering teams through technology adoption or platform transformation

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
