Reporting to the Sawmill Manager, the Team Leader for night production will be responsible for the overall results (safety, quality, and production) of the night shift, ensuring safety and quality standards are met at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety standards are met
  • Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety programs
  • Lead and cultivate a collaborative and productive team
  • Duties include scheduling personnel and weekly payroll submission
  • Assist with training, developing, and coaching employees
  • Manage attendance, performance, and employee relations issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Work with the team to maintain company cleanliness standards
  • Ensure accurate completion of production, downtime, safety, and shift reporting is met
  • Work closely with Maintenance to to minimize downtime and maximize uptime efficiency
  • Lead and participate in improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and improve cost effectiveness
