Full Job Description
We are seeking a Team Leader - Engineering and Integration to join our team and support our client. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking technical leader with strong engineering judgment and a passion for improving enterprise systems through structured design, testing, and operational excellence. This individual brings the ability to guide complex support efforts, improve integration points, and help teams deliver dependable services in evolving environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead engineering and integration-related support activities within Tier 3 back-end operations.
  • Guide technical coordination across infrastructure support, integration and testing services, configuration management, and change management activities.
  • Support operational improvements tied to lifecycle management, capacity management, provisioning, and service quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify root causes, recommend improvements, and strengthen system reliability.
  • Contribute to technical standards, process documentation, and implementation planning across supported environments.
  • Help ensure back-end services remain adaptable, secure, and aligned with mission needs.

Work Experience and Job Skills:
  • Strong experience in enterprise systems engineering, technical integration, or back-end support operations.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure support, testing, change management, configuration management, and operational best practices.
  • Ability to analyze technical issues, guide improvement efforts, and support complex enterprise service environments.
  • Strong collaboration, leadership, and communication skills.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree is required. Preferred field of study in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field of study.
  • MBA/Master's Degree in a relevant field of study preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
  • Desired certifications may include ITIL, Microsoft, VMware, cloud, or systems engineering credentials relevant to enterprise support and integration.

Communication Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to present proposals and performance data, comfortable interfacing all levels of organization.
  • Ability to write clear and concise creative content in a highly confidential manner.

Clearance Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Travel:
  • Local travel within a 50-mile radius of NIH Bethesda, Maryland is not reimbursable.
  • On occasion, travel may be required of Contractor personnel and, if approved in advance by the Contracting Officer, may be reimbursed in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
  • Work may be performed at Government facilities, remote locations, or approved employee work locations in support of Government operations.

Environmental Requirements:
  • Mainly a routine office environment.
  • May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
  • Flexible in working extended hours
