Full Job Description
Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Medical Laboratory Technologist position in the Laboratory Services Department.

The primary location for this position is: Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital

Qualifications:
  • Certification with Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
  • Current registration or eligible as a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario with authorization to practice relevant specialties in Laboratory Medicine.
  • Minimum two years' experience in a medical laboratory preferred
  • Demonstrated computer literacy (i.e. Cerner)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to fulfil commitment of 12 hour shifts
  • Demonstrated accuracy, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Possess solid technical skills for phlebotomy
  • Ability to collaborate, develop and maintain effective relationships within healthcare teams
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to personal, patient and staff safety
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
  • Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality

Other pertinent conditions:
  • Salary per the OPSEU Salary Schedule ($36.84 per hour to $50.24 per hour)
