This position is a member of our San Antonio Division.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - Manage Waste Program goals and objectives and oversee staff development and activities.
- Coordinate, schedule, monitor, and communicate information regarding compliance and enforcement activities and the progress of the Region's Air Program.
- Hire, develop, and conduct performance management of Waste Program staff.
- Provides technical and programmatic input for regulations development and evaluates policies and procedures.
- Advise the Regional Director of significant program issues, oversee special projects and continue process improvement.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS - Experience working with state and federal waste regulations and enforcement.
- Experience as supervisor, manager, or technical/special project coordinator, with experience in hiring, training, leading, assigning and/or prioritizing the work of others
- Experience using Consolidated Compliance and Enforcement Data Systems (CCEDS), Business Objects Enterprise (BOE), and Central Registry
- Experience interacting with the elected officials, media and/or regulated community.
- Experience with developing and monitoring workplan commitments and goals.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Experience in the management of a business function, division, or department relevant to assignment.
OR
Graduation from an accredited fouryear college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.
