About The RoleAs a Tax Supervisor on the Tax and Business Services team, you will oversee client work, review tax and financial deliverables, and help guide professionals responsible for tax compliance and business advisory services. You will build strong client relationships, support the team's development, and contribute to the continued growth and quality of the practice.
What You'll Do- Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding business needs and providing timely tax and business advice.
- Serve as a key client contact, address questions and concerns, and identify opportunities to provide additional services.
- Review and oversee the preparation of tax returns, financial statements, and related deliverables while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Stay current with federal and state tax laws, regulations, and industry standards to support accurate compliance and planning services.
- Supervise, mentor, and support tax and business services professionals by assigning work, setting expectations, and providing feedback.
- Perform regular quality reviews to promote accurate, consistent, and complete client deliverables.
- Provide business advisory support, including financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and tax-efficient planning strategies.
- Support business development through networking, proposal development, client presentations, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously while maintaining responsiveness, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and firm-sponsored training.
About You- Bachelor's degree in accounting is required; Master's degree in accounting is preferred.
- At least four years of recent public accounting experience, including two or more years of supervisory experience.
- CPA certification or significant progress toward licensure is preferred. Strong candidates with relevant experience may be considered without current CPA pursuit.
- Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, including S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, and state and local tax filings.
- Strong leadership, client service, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple clients, projects, and deadlines while producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and discreet approach to confidential information.
- Experience with tax research software and Microsoft Excel. ProSystem fx experience is preferred, but systems training is available.
- Proficiency with tax preparation and accounting software such as QuickBooks, CCH Axcess, or comparable programs is a plus.

Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000.
