Full Job Description

A career within RSM’s Corporate Tax services will provide you with the opportunity to help our public and private multinational corporate tax clients meet their accounting for income tax reporting requirements and income tax consulting and compliance obligations, while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their tax strategy using both your industry experience and technical expertise with a cross functional team, while delivering a customized technology-enabled service delivery model to facilitate better decision making in achieving our clients’ strategic objectives.

As a Tax Supervisor with RSM, you will be responsible for the following job duties which are focused around two core concepts; your technical & quality expertise, and delivering excellent client service:

  • Provide detail review and analysis of tax returns
  • Work on multiple complex issues while communicating in a non-technical manner to facilitate communicationbetween the client and the service team while managing the risk for both the client and the firm
  • Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, concerns, etc.
  • Develop, motivate, and trainstaff level team members
  • Performing, documenting, summarizing, and reviewing research conclusions regarding specific tax issues
  • Remain up-to-date on currenttax practices and changes in tax law
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Some travel may berequired

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree preferably inAccounting or related field of study
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a public accounting environment
  • 2 plus years of experience focusing on corporate federal tax compliance
  • Ability to work closely withclients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for taxservice requirements
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax law/rules and implications
  • Experience preparing and reviewing returns
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740
  • Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
  • Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, industry specialization a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience in dealing with international tax matters a plus

The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $78,600 - $148,500

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
