Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Strongly preferred: CPA license, having passed all 4 sections of the exam
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and communication skills
• Proven experience in team leadership and supervision
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail and initiative on projects

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and multi-state income tax returns and work papers
• Delegate entry-level work to staff accountants and handle complex client work
• Organize workflow and ensure client engagement deadlines are met
• Identify tax issues, offering strategic resolutions
• Conduct research on technical tax information
• Prepare correspondence in response to tax authorities
• Maintain engagement timelines and budgets, updating stakeholders promptly
• Develop relationships with firm professionals and clients
• Supervise and manage engagement team expectations
• Coach junior team members and provide constructive feedback
• Utilize and train staff on tax preparation software
• Participate in training for staff and senior positions
• Ensure high-quality work output
