About the Role

We are seeking a Tax Partner to drive the next phase of growth for our tax practice in our Redmond, Washington office.

This role is designed for an entrepreneurial leader who excels at developing trusted advisor relationships, identifying market opportunities, expanding brand awareness, and converting those relationships into long-term client partnerships. While technical tax expertise is important, the primary focus of this position is generating organic growth through new client acquisition, practice expansion, and the development of strategic business relationships.

The ideal candidate brings a strong professional network, a track record of winning new business, proven leadership experience, and the ability to expand relationships across tax, accounting, advisory, and consulting services. This individual will serve as a visible ambassador of the firm, delivering new client relationships that leaders can strengthen and grow.
What You'll Do
Business Development & New Client Acquisition
  • Identify, pursue, and win new client opportunities across target industries and market segments
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow the tax practice and expand market share
  • Generate qualified opportunities that lead to multi-service client engagements
  • Lead business development activities, proposal presentations, networking initiatives, and relationship-building efforts
  • Develop a pipeline of new opportunities that support firm growth objectives
  • Build awareness of the CRC and Springline brands throughout the market
Client Relationship Development & Expansion
  • Establish trusted advisor relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Build and nurture client relationships into multi-service engagements by introducing clients to the right firm capabilities and specialists
  • Identify evolving client needs and facilitate introductions to additional service offerings
  • Collaborate with partners to expand client relationships across service lines
  • Strategically transition client relationships to delivery leaders while remaining engaged in overall growth opportunities
Practice Growth & Market Leadership
  • Contribute to the long-term growth strategy of the tax practice
  • Provide market intelligence and client insights to firm leadership
  • Represent the firm at industry associations, networking groups, conferences, and community events
Leadership & Talent Development
  • Mentor and support future leaders within the firm
  • Support team members in business development and client relationship activities
  • Collaborate with partners and leaders to align growth opportunities with firm capabilities
  • Serve as a visible representative within both the firm and local business community
About You
Required Qualifications
  • Active CPA license
  • 12+ years of progressive public accounting experience
  • Demonstrated success generating business and developing client relationships
  • Proven track record of practice growth, revenue generation, or business development
  • Experience leading executive-level client conversations and managing complex client engagements
  • Strong professional network within the business community
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Existing book of business and/or transferable client relationships
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior Partner, Principal or Managing Director
  • Proven ability to build, grow, or scale a book of business
  • Experience serving entrepreneur-led, small and medium business segments, middle-market firms, and high-net worth individuals.
  • Demonstrated success introducing multiple service lines into client relationships

Compensation

This position offers a compensation package aligned with the expectations of a senior market-facing partner.
  • Base salary range: $250,000 - $275,000, commensurate with experience, market presence, business development success, and practice-building capabilities
  • Performance-based incentive compensation tied to client origination, cross-selling, and practice profitability
  • Equity participation opportunity as part of the overall compensation package based on experience, profile, and long-term role within the organization
