About the RoleAs an Insurance Tax Manager on the Specialty Services team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax compliance, provision, and advisory services to insurance clients. This role is ideal for a technically strong tax professional who enjoys solving complex issues, building trusted client relationships, and mentoring team members while contributing to the growth of a national accounting and advisory platform.
What You'll Do- Manage and review a portfolio of small to large sized tax clients.
- Prepare and review tax provisions (ASC 740/SSAP 101).
- Assist and review complex consolidated tax returns, with combined/unitary states.
- Lead tax research and consulting projects, including assisting with the preparation of tax memorandums.
- Provide effective and timely feedback, mentoring tax staff and fostering professional growth.
- Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to client expansion efforts.

Required & Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Licensed CPA
- At least five years of recent public accounting experience in tax
- Corporate tax return preparation and tax issues, including a working knowledge of consolidated return issues (federal and state)
- ASC 740 tax provision experience (SSAP 101 experience preferred, but not required)
- Insurance tax experience is preferred (not required)
- Excellent problem-solving and client-relationship skills
- A willingness to work with and learn from all your team members
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team while juggling multiple priorities
- Communication skills - clear, concise writing and verbal skills
