Primary Responsibilities of the Role:
- Lead and manage complex high-net-worth individual tax engagements, including tax compliance, planning, and consulting services for executives, founders, investors, and multi-generational families.
- Plan the timing and assigning of staff to engagements.
- Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies involving charitable giving, estate and gift planning, cash flow planning, and wealth transfer considerations.
- Research, interpret, and evaluate the tax impact of current and proposed legislation on the quarterly and year-end tax calculations.
- Provide sophisticated equity compensation review, planning, and advisory services, including tax implications related to RSUs, ISOs, NSOs, stock options, restricted stock, liquidity events, and concentrated stock positions.
- Mentor, develop, and review the work of tax seniors and staff, providing technical guidance and feedback.
- Review complex individual income tax returns involving equity compensation, hedge funds, private equity investments, trusts, publicly traded partnerships, and multi-state filings.
- Prepare client billings. This may include assisting with collections when appropriate.
- Evaluate the performance of staff as required by firm policy.
- Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm. These can be professional, civic, and/or community service contacts.
- Assist in administrative functions as assigned by the partners.
- Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
Your Qualifications:
- CPA required and a minimum of 5 years of experience at public accounting firms.
- Degree in Accounting, MST preferred.
- Experience with CCH Prosystem and Axcess tax software preferred.
- Demonstrate knowledge of qualified small business stock (QSBS) reporting and planning strategies, including "stacking and packing" techniques.
- Strong technical knowledge of high-net-worth individual taxation, equity compensation, trust and estate concepts, and related planning strategies required.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects.
- Good conceptual, critical thinking, analytical, quantitative skills, and the ability to articulate work product.

Salary Pay Scale
$130,000 - $165,000 per year
