About This RoleAs Systems Test Engineer you will be responsible for review, coordination and execution of all Design Integration and Validation Test activities.
Key Responsibilities- Represent Design Test Validation team throughout new product development process
- Define and develop Integration and Validation test scope, strategies and plans based on product functional requirements including software, hardware, communication, networking and regulatory agency requirements.
- Manage Design Integration and Validation test projects including test schedules, human and test equipment resources, design and build testing infrastructure, modify existing infrastructure and manage risks
- Specify, design and develop test automation tools using high level programing languages and hardware
- Review, approve and document test results to determine test acceptance
- Develop project budgets and capital cost requirements
- Drive effective corrective and preventive actions in response to validation, field and customer failures
- Provide mentoring and guidance to test technicians
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years' experience as a Systems Test Engineer in Hardware, Firmware & Software design and testing environments.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Excellent engineering documentation skills, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong background in Hardware, Firmware and Software design and testing environments
- IP Network test experience
- Large system or networked system test
- Fire alarm system products and markets
- Regulatory agency experience with UL, ULC, FM, CE and CPD
- Skilled use of standard lab equipment including oscilloscopes, meters, powers supplies and other measurement instruments
- Proven ability to support multiple projects in fast-paced deadline-driven environment
- Proficient with MS Office tools (Excel, WORD, MS Power Point, MS Project)
- Product validation or related fields
