Position: Systems Solutions Analyst
Department: Business Systems & Technology
Location: Folsom, CA
Compensation: $110,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and location
Exemption Status: Exempt
Job Summary
ConferenceDirect is hiring a Systems Solutions Analyst to join our Business Systems & Technology team in Folsom, CA. You'll be the bridge between the people who use our systems every day and the technology that supports them. Listening to how teams work, designing better processes, and turning those processes into Salesforce and other technology solutions.
This is a hands-on role. Beyond gathering requirements and writing specs, you'll build directly in Salesforce: creating fields, updating page layouts, managing permission sets, and automating workflows. For larger projects, you'll partner with our outsourced development team, translating business needs into clear technical requirements and making sure what gets delivered actually works for the business. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in a requirements workshop with the sales team and in Salesforce Setup configuring a Flow.
What You'll Do
• Process design and requirements
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Sales, and other teams to understand how they work and where processes break down.
• Lead requirements sessions and translate business needs into user stories, process maps, and functional specifications.
• Map current-state and future-state processes, recommending improvements before automating them.
• Prioritize requests with stakeholders and help balance quick wins against longer-term system health.
• Identify proper tool(s) (i.e. Salesforce, Tableau, etc.) for accommodating team needs/processes.
Responsibilities
• Salesforce configuration and administration.
• Build and maintain Salesforce functionality: custom objects and fields, page layouts, Lightning record pages, record types, validation rules, and picklists.
• Design and build automation using Salesforce Flow (record-triggered, screen and scheduled flows), and approval processes.
• Manage security and access, including profiles, permission sets, permission set groups, roles, public groups, and sharing rules.
• Partnering with our development team.
• Decide when a request can be configured in-house versus when it needs custom development (Apex, LWC, integrations).
• Write clear technical requirements and acceptance criteria for our outsourced development partner.
• Review and test delivered work in sandbox environments before it reaches production.
• Coordinate deployments and release communication.
• Support and continuous improvement
• Serve as a go-to resource for Salesforce questions, troubleshooting issues, and resolving support tickets.
• Create training materials and documentation and run training sessions for new features.
• Monitor data quality and help maintain clean, reliable data.
• Keep up with Salesforce's three annual releases and recommend new features that could benefit the business.
• Other duties as assigned
