Job Overview:
As a Systems / Solution Architect Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, integrating, and testing cutting-edge threat detection and evasion technologies for military aviation platforms. This high-visibility position involves the architectural oversight of Aircraft Survivability solutions, ensuring they meet both current and future military needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform independent, high-level design of Aircraft Survivability solutions, focusing on how these systems interface with aviation platforms.
  • Provide architectural oversight for the development of new or enhanced products, including articulating the vision, exploring alternative architectural approaches, creating models, and validating the architecture against established requirements.
  • Collaborate with product developers, product managers, and customer experts to create software solutions that meet the required features and modifications.
  • Offer technical guidance to various departments and may be responsible for integrating components built by different development teams.
  • Define and establish the core design features and elements that form the framework of the system architecture.
  • Work closely with system users to identify and resolve complex user problems and concerns.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine the best solutions, considering manual, software, or hardware functions, with an emphasis on leveraging commercial off-the-shelf components.
  • Develop acceptance test requirements in collaboration with designers, test engineers, and users to ensure all high-level requirements, particularly related to the human-computer interface, are met.

  • Expertise in developing Aircraft Survivability architecture concepts and designs using the Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) for enduring and Future Vertical Lift (FVL) platforms.
  • Experience in developing and presenting briefing materials, technical reports, white papers, and Courses of Action (COAs), including assessing risks and providing recommendations.
  • Research and experience in modern network/communication approaches such as high-speed Ethernet, publish/subscribe systems, Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), and off-boarding opportunities.
  • Experience overseeing the requirements, design, development, and testing of Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) software modules for ASE Modernization.
