Full Job Description
Systems Software Engineer Job Description The qualified candidate will work with a team of software and hardware engineers in supporting industry leading vacuum system platforms including cutting-edge designs, next-generation controls, product extensions, and continuous improvements to system throughput and performance. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Responsibilities include developing next-generation controls software, verifying its design, and testing its quality on various vacuum systems and components to which it has been deployed.  Will also be responsible for streamlining or automating configuration, calibration and testing vacuum components, as well as the development of routines for automatic data collection and analysis. Will include supporting Manufacturing and developing/maintaining/releasing process documentation.  May include motion control tuning, characterizing servo performance and stability, and characterizing payload vibration WHAT YOU’LL BRING: We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on engineer with broad capabilities in electromechanical systems who possesses: BSEE / BSCS or similar with a minimum of 5 years of experience OR MSEE / MSCS or similar with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Minimum of 2 years of C++ or C# programming expertise. Experience with electro-mechanical systems preferred. Experience with EtherCAT, gRPC, Python, PLCs, RTOS preferred. Related coursework, experience or research in controls, and/or dynamic systems, or robotics. Ability to learn complex systems quickly and work independently. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent technical communication and presentation skills. Compensation Base Salary Range: $105,593.46 USD to $142,861.74 USD Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
