Full Job Description
Quest Defense Systems & Solutions is seeking a Systems IV&V / Integration & Test Engineer to support complex aerospace electronic systems. You'll work hands-on in a secure lab environment, integrating circuit card assemblies, line-replaceable units (LRUs), and terminal systems while troubleshooting issues across the full system.

In this role, you'll use system requirements and interface control documents (ICDs) to plan and perform integration and verification testing. You'll investigate failures, support qualification testing and sell-off, and work with hardware, software, and systems engineers to resolve issues. The work calls for experience with complex electronic systems and comfort using tools such as DOORS, MATLAB, and Jira.

This position is based in Marlborough, MA. Relocation assistance is available. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required. Active clearance is preferred.

What You'll Do

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in systems-level IV&V, integration, or test for aerospace, defense, or similarly complex electronic systems.
  • Hands-on experience integrating and troubleshooting circuit card assemblies (CCAs), line-replaceable units (LRUs), or multi-box electronic systems in a lab.
  • Experience developing or executing system-level verification and qualification tests, documenting results, and investigating failures.
  • Ability to interpret system requirements and interface control documents (ICDs) to verify system behavior and interfaces.
  • Experience using DOORS or a comparable requirements management tool.
  • Ability to work hands-on in a secure lab environment in Marlborough, MA.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience operating and testing integrated terminal systems.
  • Experience using MATLAB or simulation tools to analyze system behavior and test results.
  • Familiarity with Jira for tracking test issues and resolution.
  • Experience supporting formal qualification testing, acceptance testing, or test sell-off in an aerospace or defense environment.
  • Experience developing or refining interface control documents (ICDs) for systems with multiple interconnected components.
  • An active U.S. government security clearance.
  • Experience adopting and/or integrating emerging technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, digital assistants) into day-to-day operations for continuous improvement.
