ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Create and maintain system architecture documentation
- Assist in developing integrated system requirements
- Research and document analysis in technical reports
- Monitor, analyze, and report on system performance; identify inefficiencies, issues, and bottlenecks
- Support system analyses and reports by mining system information using no-sql/big data analysis techniques on large volumes of system logs (including tool suites like HortonWorks/Cloudera
- Model system behavior through functional flows and functional descriptions
- Prepare plans and assessments, such as management engineering plans, integrated support plans, meeting presentations and implementation plans
- Anticipate and addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility and multiple platforms
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance problems
- Troubleshoot high-level technical and non, engineering, mathematics -technical issues
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS - Experience with performing engineering and/or scientific research, studies and analyses of specified technological, scientific, programmatic and operational issues
- Demonstrate strength in solving complex problems
- Experience utilizing systems engineering and work management tools such as Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
- Familiar using UNIX performance tools like top, iotop, sar, vmstat, iostat, ptrace, strace, ethtool, tcpdump
- Familiar with JVisualVM, JProfiler, JConsole

EXPERIENCE• Bachelor's degree (in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field is preferred) + 5 yrs. related experience
