Full Job Description
The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements of strategic deterrence. The Lockheed Martin FBM Program is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineering, Associate Manager to lead the development and verification of subsystems level requirements and the integration and test of the avionics subsystems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, with a focus on requirements development, verification, and validation, as well as integration and test. This role will provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of systems engineers and will be responsible for ensuring that subsystems level requirements are properly developed, verified, and validated, and that integration and test activities are planned and executed effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the development and verification of subsystems level requirements, ensuring that they are complete, consistent, and compliant with program requirements and standards. - Develop and maintain subsystems level requirements documentation, including requirements specifications, interface control documents, and test plans. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, design engineering, and test engineering, to ensure that subsystems level requirements are properly integrated and tested. - Plan and execute integration and test activities, including the development of test plans, test procedures, and test reports. - Lead the identification and mitigation of technical risks associated with subsystems level requirements and integration and test activities. - Collaborate with program management to develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans. - Provide technical guidance and oversight to a team of systems engineers, including mentoring and coaching to help them develop their skills and expertise. - Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, including design engineering, test engineering, and manufacturing engineering, to ensure that subsystems level requirements are properly integrated and tested. The information below reflects the standard job description for this position: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Basic Qualifications • Strong background in SE principles, including functional analysis, and system design • Experience leading multi-disciplined technical teams • Active or Current DoD Secret Clearance required prior to start • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship Required Desired Skills • Strong leadership and technical skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of systems engineers • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate technical risks associated with subsystems level requirements and integration and test activities • Experience subsystems level requirements development, verification, and validation, as well as integration and test • MS Engineering, Computer Science, or related field • 8+ years SE, with a focus on requirements development, verification, and validation, as well as integration and test • Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies, such as SysML and UML • Requirements management tools, such as DOOR • Strong knowledge of program management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00 The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics. - For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
