Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking an experienced systems engineer to provide engineering support to a DoD weapon acquisition program. The successful candidate will manage Systems Engineering Technical Reviews throughout the acquisition cycle, keep multi-disciplinary teams aligned, accelerate decision-making, and directly impact the success of mission-critical systems. As part of the technical backbone of a diverse project team, the successful candidate will help guide requirements, steer risk, and ensure flawless delivery from concept through fleet fielding.
What you will be doing:
- Facilitate working groups, integrated product teams, and program review meetings.
- Communicate technical information clearly to government, contractor, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage action item tracking, risk mitigation, and schedule integrity throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- Translate complex technical data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
- Participate in all areas of program development by partnering with experts in mechanics, software, test, and certification to tackle the toughest engineering challenges.
- Contribute to requirements management, testing, qualification, certification, and fielding to the fleet.
- Implement Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices and maintain system models
- Work primarily on-site at Sonalysts’ headquarters or designated government facilities to stay closely aligned with project teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, systems, electrical, computer, etc.)
- 5-10 years of experience in systems engineering
Strongly Desired Experience/Qualifications:
- Active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*
- Experience with model-based systems engineering
- Experience providing systems engineering support to a DoDacquisition program
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and resolve complex technical issues
- Strong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills
