We are seeking a Systems Engineer with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) experience to own the system model for our autonomous aircraft. You will turn mission needs into clear requirements, keep the model current, and use it to drive design decisions across the team. The model exists to answer questions and speed up the work, so you will keep it as simple as the program allows. We are filling two openings, one senior and one mid-level. What You'll Do
Build and maintain the aircraft system model, including requirements, architecture, and interfaces
Translate customer and mission needs into clear aircraft and subsystem requirements
Own requirements traceability, verification planning, and change control
Track system budgets such as mass, power, thermal, and data, and drive them to closure
Integrate or create physics-based models for aircraft systems and their operations into the MBSE model.
Define and manage interfaces between subsystems, partners, and suppliers
Deliver model updates and support design reviews with customers on a regular cadence
Write and maintain the systems engineering plan
Key Qualifications
First-principles thinker who finds the simplest path to the goal and thrives in a fast-paced environment
3+ years of systems engineering experience on aircraft or other complex hardware (7+ years for the senior opening)
Hands-on experience with SysML and an MBSE tool such as Cameo or MagicDraw
Experience with requirements development, traceability, and verification
Comfortable working across hardware, software, and test teams
Experience with DoD programs, DoD systems engineering and airworthiness standards, and digital engineering deliverables preferred
Legal Requirement: Due to U.S. export control laws, candidates must be U.S. persons (U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents).
