Title:
Systems Engineer

Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated professionals in San Diego, CA or Colorado Springs, CO who assist the US Space Force in developing and deploying the next generation of satellites and ground systems for Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) contract. Our Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer with experience in applying Model Based Systems Engineering tools and techniques. Candidate will provide systems engineering and integration expertise in support of the Space Systems Command (SSC) MUOS programs. Candidate will support digital engineering, MBSE activities to include requirements traceability analysis, change impact analysis, technical baseline integration, verification planning and execution, test management, concepts of operations (CONOPS) and risk management of mission capabilities. Candidate may have experience with system acquisition, systems engineering lifecycle, architecture, operations concepts, requirements and interface development and maturation for space and ground systems.

Major duties of the position include:
• Executing MBSE model development to support architecture development and digital engineering initiatives in support of program milestones
• Applying MBSE tools and techniques to capture system functions, services, interfaces, requirements, and concept of operations to support system design
• Supporting requirements analysis and functional allocation to hardware, software, operator and other segments and components of the system(s) within the models
• Production of model views, including DoDAF products, to support program milestones and documentation
• Enable the generation of systems engineering documentation for requirements, ICDs, systems design, CONOPS, verification and test
• Supporting analysis activities utilizing MBSE models and tools such as Cameo
• Supporting development of study plans for architecture development and special trade studies
• Collaborating with prime contractors, other team contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force.

Development and management of the program's DE collaboration suite using Confluence and JIRA applications.

Required Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years' experience in digital systems design and integration.
  • Experience in systems architecture using Cameo Systems Modeler or similar application
  • Proficiency in MBSE methodologies and tools (SysML, UML).
  • Experience in managing webpages
  • Active SECRET clearance

Desired Skills:
  • Masters Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Familiarity with coding languages (Python, JavaScript), and secure systems design.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation: $90 to $120k
  • The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:
