JOB OVERVIEW:At NCCI, we are looking for a
Systems Consultant to join our Platform Engineering team. This role will contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions across our hybrid cloud environments.
You will provide solutions and architecture leadership in Cloud technologies, Linux, Kubernetes, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with a strong focus on Terraform and Ansible and modern engineering practices that improve reliability, consistency, and speed of delivery. Additionally, you will design and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and create automated workflows.
This position will work in a flexible-hybrid environment. The selected candidate must be local within a commutable distance to our Boca Raton, FL headquarters.NOTE: NCCI will not sponsor applicants for work visas.WHAT YOU'LL DO:- New Technology - Architect and implement more complex technologies that require cross platform knowledge of databases, operating systems, Security, Networks, storage, backups, virtualization, and disaster recovery
- Management/Tools Solutions - Maintain and recommend implementation of monitoring and management solutions
- Technical Project Manager - Maintain critical Linux solutions and upgrades; and evaluate architecture based on our standards and proposes best solutions for our environment
- Problem Escalation - Serve as 3rd level support for problem and resolution and communicates resolution to appropriate staff and management
WHAT IT TAKES:- Bachelor's Degree or additional related work experience
- 8+ years of broad IT infrastructure experience in medium to large systems environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a 24x7 Server Support environment as required
- Ability to work well with a team and lead in complex and constantly changing environment.
- Solid knowledge of clustering, virtualization technologies, databases, storage and backup technologies, scripting, and development methodologies.
- In depth understanding of technical requirements of supported applications.
- Experience leading large and complex projects and collaborating with cross functional teams on projects.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- VMware Certified Professional in either Data Center Virtualization (VCP_DCV) or Cloud Management and Automation (VCP-CMA)
