Position Description: CGI is seeking a Systems Administrator to support mission critical enterprise infrastructure for a key federal client. This role is ideal for a technical professional with strong Windows Server experience, deep understanding of Microsoft core services, and a passion for automation, security, and operational excellence. You will collaborate with cross functional teams, leverage modern monitoring and scripting tools, and help ensure the performance, reliability, and continuity of complex production systems.

Your future duties and responsibilities: . Administer, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (2016+), ensuring secure, stable, and compliant system operations.
. Support and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and core Windows networking services.
. Perform system hardening, endpoint protection oversight, and patch management activities.
. Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell to streamline operations and reduce manual work.
. Conduct daily and scheduled system health checks, analyze logs, troubleshoot incidents, and implement remediation actions.
. Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity planning activities.
. Utilize Splunk and Dynatrace to monitor system performance, identify anomalies, and support incident resolution.
. Maintain accurate operational documentation, SOPs, configuration records, and troubleshooting guides.
. Provide customer support including ticket triage, root cause analysis, and knowledge transfer to end users and teammates.
. Collaborate with network, security, database, cloud, and application teams to resolve issues and support enterprise initiatives.
. Contribute to weekly technical updates, status reporting, and problem tracking as part of standard CGI delivery processes.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . Ability to obtain and maintain US Public Trust Clearance
. Bachelor's degree and 3 years relevant IT experience
. Hands on experience administering Windows Server in production environments.
. Strong knowledge of Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and Windows networking fundamentals.
. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation and system administration.
. Experience with patching, endpoint protection, and system hardening practices.
. Familiarity with backup/recovery operations and DR/COOP processes.
. Experience with system monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace).
. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
. Ability to work collaboratively across technical teams.
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
. Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper V, VMware).
. Exposure to cloud services (Azure, AWS) and hybrid identity solutions.
. Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (PowerShell DSC, Ansible, etc.).
. Familiarity with ITIL workflows and ServiceNow

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $51,600.00 $110,100.00.
