Position OverviewAleknagik Technology, LLC is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide senior-level technical support for WDTC information systems and infrastructure, including server environments, directory and authentication services, virtualization, storage, backup and recovery, patching, system monitoring, and cybersecurity compliance. This role is responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and securing systems in accordance with DoD, Army, ATEC, and WDTC policies, including STIGs, SRGs, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements. The position also supports classified and unclassified environments, operational continuity, cyber hygiene, user support, and mission-critical test support activities.
Position Summary- Provides senior technical support for WDTC information systems, server environments, directory and authentication services, storage and virtualization services, operations support, backup and recovery, patching, system monitoring, account administration, cybersecurity compliance, and secure system operations.
- Supports configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and security of information systems in accordance with DoD, Army, ATEC, and WDTC policies, Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Secure Recommendation Guides (SRGs), Configuration Control Board requirements, and Risk Management Framework requirements.
- Supports continuity of operations for classified and unclassified environments, system administration, networked systems, cyber hygiene, user support, and direct test support.
Minimum Required Qualifications- Minimum of five years of experience within the past ten years working as a Systems Administrator.
- Current full-time employee or committed hire available to serve contingent upon contract award.
- Experience administering Windows and/or Linux systems, servers, storage, virtualization platforms, directory services, authentication services, account lifecycle, patching, backup/recovery, and operational troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting DoD or Federal IT environments with cybersecurity controls, system hardening, STIGs, vulnerability remediation, change control, and documentation requirements.
- Must meet applicable Attachment 4 Position Qualifications for assigned functions, including required IAT level, minimum experience, baseline certification, and Computing Environment certification.
Common Mandatory Requirements- US. citizen; foreign nationals/immigrant aliens are not authorized to work on this requirement.
- High school diploma or equivalent at minimum; higher education preferred where relevant to the role.
- Able to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently.
- Proficient with computers and software required to perform work, including Microsoft Office.
- Complete and maintain all required onboarding, security, installation access, CAC, acceptable use, NDA, and Government-directed forms/training.
- Complete and maintain required training, including Anti-Terrorism Level I, OPSEC, iWATCH, Information Assurance/Cyber Awareness, PII, CTIP notification/training, and other WDTC/Army/DoD-directed training.
- Maintain a professional appearance and comply with facility, safety, security, environmental, health, and operating regulations.
Mandatory DoD Framework Compliance Requirements- Maintain at least current Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level I professional certification during contract execution unless a higher IAT/IAM/DCWF requirement applies to assigned duties.
- Meet all DoD 8570.01-M / DoDM 8140.03 / DoD 8140.01 / AR 25-2 qualification requirements applicable to assigned duties, system access, privileged access, and Government-assigned DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) work role(s).
- Maintain proof of baseline certification, Computing Environment (CE) certification where applicable, continuing education, renewal status, and training completion for Government inspection.
- Personnel without proper and current certification may not perform affected information assurance, cybersecurity, or DoD information system duties.
Role-Specific Responsibilities- Administer Windows, Linux, Unix, server, storage, virtualized, and directory/authentication environments as assigned.
- Install, configure, maintain, patch, upgrade, image, monitor, and troubleshoot hardware, software, servers, operating systems, and system components.
- Manage user accounts, authentication services, access control, permissions, account lifecycle actions, and audit support in coordination with Government processes.
- Support backup, restore, disaster recovery, storage monitoring, server maintenance, system health reporting, and operational continuity.
- Support cybersecurity scans, vulnerability remediation, STIG implementation, patch validation, ACAS or similar scan review, endpoint security coordination, and compliance reporting.
- Support RMF activities, Authorization to Operate artifacts, System Security Plans, POA&Ms, privacy assessments, data categorizations, hardware/software inventories, and information assurance artifact remediation.
- Coordinate with network, cybersecurity, software development, operations support, help desk, and Government technical personnel to resolve system issues and maintain availability.
- Support change management, configuration control, technical documentation, SOP updates, outage reporting, problem management, and incident response.
- Support suspected cyber intrusion reporting and technical containment/escalation activities in accordance with contract and Government procedures.
Role-Specific DoD 8140 / DoD 8570 Requirements- Mandatory minimum: IAT Level I professional certification during execution for all contractor personnel; Systems Administrator candidates should be screened for IAT Level II or higher where required by assigned system administration, privileged access, or Attachment 4 function mapping.
- For Directory & Authentication Services, Storage & Virtualization Services, and Operations Support functions, Attachment 4 maps the function to IAT-II and requires at least one qualifying baseline certification and one qualifying Computing Environment certification.
- Expected primary DCWF alignment: 451 - System Administrator. Additional DCWF roles may apply based on assigned duties, such as 421 - Database Administrator, 441 - Network Operations Specialist, 461 - Systems Security Analyst, 411 - Technical Support Specialist, or other Government-assigned work role.
- Personnel requiring administrator or privileged access must satisfy the applicable DoDM 8140.03 foundational qualification requirements and any Government-required proficiency tier for the assigned DCWF code before performing those duties.
- Must maintain current baseline certification, Computing Environment certification where applicable, continuing education, renewal status, and proof of qualification for Government inspection.
Preferred / Differentiating Qualifications- Experience with STIGs, SRGs, ACAS or similar vulnerability scanning, SCCM/WSUS or equivalent patching, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization, SAN/storage, backup and recovery, and technical documentation.
- Experience supporting Army, ATEC, WDTC, JMC, DHA, AFMIS, NHJ, or other DoD mission IT environments.
- Experience coordinating with ISSM/ISSO/security teams, supporting RMF packages, and maintaining system authorization artifacts.
