System Software Engineer
Job Description
The qualified candidate will work with a team of software and hardware engineers in supporting industry leading vacuum system platforms including cutting-edge designs, next-generation controls, product extensions, and continuous improvements to system throughput and performance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Responsibilities include developing next-generation controls software, verifying its design, and testing its quality on various vacuum systems and components to which it has been deployed.
- Will also be responsible for streamlining or automating configuration, calibration and testing vacuum components, as well as the development of routines for automatic data collection and analysis.
- Will include supporting Manufacturing and developing/maintaining/releasing process documentation.
- May include motion control tuning, characterizing servo performance and stability, and characterizing payload vibration
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on engineer with broad capabilities in electromechanical systems who possesses:
- BSEE / BSCS or similar with a minimum of 5 years of experience OR MSEE / MSCS or similar with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of C++ or C# programming expertise.
- Experience with electro-mechanical systems preferred.
- Experience with EtherCAT, gRPC, Python, PLCs, RTOS preferred.
- Related coursework, experience or research in controls, and/or dynamic systems, or robotics.
- Ability to learn complex systems quickly and work independently.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent technical communication and presentation skills.
Compensation
Base Salary Range: $105,593.46 USD to $142,861.74 USD
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
