Position Summary
Management accountability and decision-making authority for determining the strategies, interventions and activities that will be effective and appropriate to further enable the capability of the function.

This role serves inpatient care management for multiple entities across the healthcare system. Accountable for ensuring performance of the program in accordance with goals and stewardship responsibilities.

Communicates key management decisions and informs department leadership of issues affecting program and system performance effectiveness. Facilitates development of and adjustments to work plans, work processes, budgets, staffing levels, and other resources needed to deliver services that meet expectations of the program.

Facilitates change to advance the organization and uses resources and operational practices to drive execution of plans. Ensures that policies, procedures and practices are operationalized to support safe, reliable care, regulatory compliance, and fosters a continuous learning culture.

Accountable for a positive organizational culture in decision making and performance management to influence work attitudes and enhance job satisfaction. Supports quality programs such has infection prevention, regulatory compliance, performance improvement and/or patient safety. Key liaison between the leadership teams and staff of the health care facility and programs.
Responsibilities
Provides managerial support to multiple entities and team members across the health system.

Ensures effective operations and support for compliance with applicable governing, regulating and accrediting bodies, licensure, laws and regulations.

Facilitates positive relationships and communications between departments and key stakeholders, through various means, such as conducting and attending meetings, rounding, having one-to-one communications, and generally being visible and accessible to colleagues and staff.

Reviews periodic financial statements and reports, and makes changes in resource allocation, spending, and other relevant business activity, to ensure the financial viability and budget compliance.

Supports the use of clinical and management information technology and works in conjunction with key stakeholders and the information services function.

With the support of and in coordination with the Human Resources and Organization Development function, maintains positive personnel relations and strives to be an employer of choice by ensuring that employee questions and concerns are addressed responsively.

Employ methods of change management to advance the organization by using tools, business processes, budget allocations and operational practices to significantly reshape ECU Health.

Evidence knowledge of utilization review processes and can apply necessary UR concepts to operations and throughput of acute care.

Demonstrates a visible working style, acts in a manner that is consistent with and shows commitment to the values and leadership competencies.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master's degree in Social Work is required.

3 to 4 years' experience is required.

Master's degree is preferred.

Case Management Certification preferred.
Pay Range
$96824.00 - $141123.84
