WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Engineer Principal must have: • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science • Experience: 8+ years of related experience
Position Required Skills:
• Proficiency using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
• Demonstrated experience administering Linux systems
• Experience developing automation scripts (Bash/Python) to streamline operational and maintenance tasks
• Experience with the Agency's STE/STN security compliance requirements and the ability to ensure systems adhere to established policies
• Familiar with basic Cisco switch configuration
• Familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and containerd
• Experience with creating, maintaining, and updating clear, accurate, and accessible technical documentation
Position Desired Skills:
• Experience administering Windows systems
• Experience with NetApp storage devices
• Experience with virtualization technologies including vSphere/vCenter
• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Security clearance level: TS/SCI
• US citizenship required
The likely salary range for this position is $160,650 - $217,350. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
