Job DescriptionNokia of America Corporation, System Administrator (Multiple Positions), Sunnyvale, CA.Responsibilities- Install, configure and maintain data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.
- Ensure the stability, scalability, and security of Nokia infrastructure, including clusters and cloud environments.
- Manage and maintain the health of our Nokia infrastructure, including servers, clusters, grids, and clouds.
- Ensure system uptime, performance, and security by monitoring logs, metrics, and alerts.
- Implement automation tools to streamline system deployment, configuration, and management.
- Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to design and implement optimized workflows for ML/AI workloads.
- Provide technical guidance on Linux system administration best practices and standards.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide timely resolution.
- Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. #LI-DNI
QualificationsMust have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
- Must have 3 years of experience performing system monitoring on Linux-based infrastructure;
- Must have 3 years of experience using configuration management tools, including Ansible or SaltStack;
- Must have 3 years of experience using coding or scripting languages, including Python, Bash, Ruby, Rust, or Go;
- Must have 3 years of experience using system and network monitoring systems and in incident response;
- Must have 3 years of experience troubleshooting hardware and system issues; and
- Must have 3 years of experience with Web service administration for Linux and Windows.
