Job Description

We are seeking a System Administrator III (Cloud).

Located on-site in Chesapeake, VA.

ESN is seeking a System Administrator III (Cloud) to support a contract with Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Atlantic, in Norfolk, VA. The contract to support NIWC LANT consists of Independent Validation & Verification, Operations, Sustainment, and Installation support. The Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) systems provides near real-time material-based readiness reporting to the Defense Readiness Reporting System-Navy (DRRS-N) and provides three additional primary capabilities to the Fleet including Ashore and Afloat systems. This support includes manual and automation of software testing, Scrum Master, operating in the AWS Cloud, management of JIRA/JAMA/Confluence, and project support.

Job Requirements

Experience Requirement:

Seven (7) years with Master's or eleven (11) years with Bachelor's degree of professional experience in systems administration to include supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers. Duties include installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation. Individual shall have experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services. Individual shall be capable of training staff on software applicable to their position, assisting customers with information technology, monitoring system configuration (hardware and software), and providing instruction on computers and applications.

Specific Experience: Two (2) years' experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining cloud-based solutions to include networking, compute instances, and associated support services.

Education Requirement:

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems; and, dependent on task, individual shall meet the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual as applicable.

Preferred certifications for the position include: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Technology Associate, Certified SAFe Agilist.

Security Clearance:

Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance.
