Full Job Description
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (Possible overtime / weekend work when needed)

Compensation: 80,000-90,000K

Location: On-site, Austin Texas, Some travel required (25-50%) - We are looking for Local Applicants Only

About the Role

The System Administrator supports our IT infrastructure, ensuring system availability, security, and performance. This role collaborates with IT team members, vendors, and end users to deploy, troubleshoot, optimize, and support technology systems. They analyze and resolve complex, escalated issues, implement processes and SOPs, and apply best practices to improve system usability, uptime, and efficiency while delivering a high level of user support.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead design and implementation of enterprise IT infrastructure (networking, cloud), ensuring security, performance, and 24/7 availability
  • Develop and execute Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans
  • Manage Windows servers, desktops, Active Directory, and Office 365
  • Automate and optimize systems using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
  • Monitor, maintain, and enhance systems, including Pulseway and AssetSonar platforms
  • Troubleshoot complex and widespread issues; serve as escalation point for IT support and assist end users
  • Perform system maintenance; test and deploy patches, firmware, and updates
  • Manage integrations and automations to improve user experience and security
  • Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs, and records in ticketing/change management systems
  • Lead strategic IT projects; mentor team members and stay current on emerging technologies

Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in systems administration and/or IT Infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Operating systems, Group Policy, Active Directory, Azure AD, and Azure
  • Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and enterprise storage
  • Knowledge of VoIP systems and cloud networking in distributed environments
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk)
  • IT Certifications like CCNP, MCSE, or Azure Solutions Architect
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications
  • Experience with IT service management tools, monitoring systems, and automation technologies
  • Proven track record of improving uptime, performance, and security
  • Proven track record of identifying needs and implementing system improvements to reduce user issues
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • High standards for integrity, confidentiality, and meeting deadlines
  • Proven ability to create SOPs and documentation independently
  • Customer service oriented with a problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to listen to non-technical users and identify, understand and analyze underlying technical issues

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business or related field
  • Experience with Zendesk or other similar IT Support ticketing systems
  • Experience with Asana or other similar project management tools
