The anticipated salary range is $70,000.00 to $130,000.00 for a candidate who will work in New York City. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience to the job, education, and certifications.
A School Leader at Nuasin Next Generation Charter School will:
- Performs a variety of administrative duties to assist the Principal in managing the school.
- Assists in providing leadership to professional staff in determining objectives and identifying school needs as the basis for developing short and long-range plans for the school.
- Assumes the duties of the Principal in the absence of the Principal and as assigned.
- Meeting with parents to discuss scholar behavioral or learning opportunities for growth.
- Responding to disciplinary issues in conjunction with the Director of School Culture.
- Supervises and evaluates the performance of designated certificated and/or classified personnel; assigns duties to faculty and staff as appropriate to meet school objectives.
- Promotes a school environment that is safe.
- Managing all school assessments in conjunction with other Assistant Principals and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the School Leadership Team to continuously improve personal practice, classroom instruction, assessment, and scholar achievement, as well as the overall goals and mission of the school and the network.
- Provide a wide variety of learning opportunities for teachers focused on analyzing scholar work, effective planning, targeted and differentiated instruction, as well as high expectations for classroom culture and behavior.
- Observe teachers weekly to gather data on scholar learning and teacher proficiency to diagnose teachers' strengths and weaknesses constantly and determine strategies for improving their practice and improving scholar learning.
- Develop, implement and lead a high quality testing preparatory program for ELA and Math State testing.
- Model the Nuasin next Generation professional and core values at all times; be a visible and highly engaged leader in the school community.
- Coordinate and manage creative, inspiring professional development sessions in line with school goals and priorities.
- Direct the interim assessment process to ensure teachers are using current data to drive instruction; facilitate regular, meaningful interim assessment data debriefs with teachers.
- Lead team and school-wide professional development on areas as defined by the strategic plan and other data points.
