OverviewABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking an SVP, Commerce Media to serve as a senior advisor, capability builder, and Retail Media leader focused on helping clients drive business growth through Amazon, Walmart, and broader Commerce Media investments. This role requires deep platform expertise, current knowledge of Retail Media trends and product evolution, and the ability to advise senior clients on ecommerce growth, GMV, customer acquisition, investment strategy, channel mix, retailer relationships, and broader commercial outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines strong executive presence with current platform credibility, enabling them to move seamlessly between strategic client conversations and practical activation guidance. They understand how Commerce Media influences sales growth, incremental lift, digital shelf performance, customer acquisition, retailer objectives, and broader business outcomes.
We are looking for leaders who can connect commerce growth strategy with executional excellence, translating business objectives into investment, channel, activation, and measurement recommendations while credibly advising clients and guiding teams. This leader will operate across clients, accounts, and agency teams, helping strengthen existing capabilities, elevate commerce thinking, influence future solutions, and build stronger connections between strategy, activation, measurement, and business growth.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Serve as a senior Commerce Media advisor, helping clients and agency leaders shape growth strategies, investment decisions, and broader commerce outcomes.
- Lead the strategic vision for Amazon and Walmart while incorporating other priority retail media networks, helping clients determine where to invest and how Commerce Media supports ecommerce growth.
- Translate ecommerce sales, GMV, customer acquisition, retailer objectives, and broader commercial priorities into enterprise-level recommendations across channel mix, investment, activation, and measurement.
- Influence the evolution of Commerce Media capabilities, operating models, measurement solutions, methodologies, partner relationships, and go-to-market approaches across the organization.
- Coach senior talent, support critical client and new-business opportunities, and scale Commerce Media expertise across clients, accounts, and business units.
- Develop frameworks, standards, and learning agendas that connect media investment to incrementality, digital shelf performance, customer acquisition, retailer objectives, and total ecommerce growth.
- Partner across strategy, activation, analytics, shopper marketing, ecommerce, and media teams to strengthen collaboration, improve delivery, and drive measurable business outcomes.
SKILLSETS REQUIRED- Extensive senior leadership experience in Commerce Media within an agency, retail media network, platform, or CPG brand/manufacturer; 15+ years preferred.
- Deep, current expertise across Amazon and Walmart Retail Media, including platform capabilities, product evolution, activation implications, and execution realities.
- Proven ability to advise senior clients on ecommerce growth, GMV, investment strategy, customer acquisition, retailer relationships, and broader commercial outcomes.
Strong executive presence without becoming disconnected from delivery; able to credibly challenge recommendations, guide teams, and make informed platform and investment decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to operate across complex client, account, discipline, and agency structures while aligning senior stakeholders around shared business outcomes.
- Experience building capabilities, influencing operating models, and developing scalable frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Ability to use measurement, incrementality, and business performance data to develop decisive, actionable recommendations.
- Collaborative leadership style focused on strengthening existing teams and creating clarity rather than additional process layers.
- Clear and persuasive communicator who can simplify complex commerce, retail media, and business challenges for senior stakeholders.

Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
