Responsibilities

  • Prepare surgical suite with necessary drapes, solutions, instruments, and supplies
  • Ensure all equipment and instruments are in good working order
  • Assist in preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients for surgery
  • Pass instruments to the physician during surgical procedures
  • Continuously track the number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery
  • Receive and process specimens for laboratory delivery

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion, US:CO:Aurora

Department: UCHlth Operating Room AIP

Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $44.00 per hour plus travel package/stipend

LOCAL Traveler contract options available for those who reside within 75 miles

13 week assignments available

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED or Military Trained
  • State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration (needs be through DORA)
  • 1 year experience
  • BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.


Summary:
Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.

Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.

Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.

Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
