Full Job Description
Banner University Medical Center Phoenix seeks a board-certified thoracic surgeon to build and lead a new lung transplant program. This is a rare opportunity to shape every element - clinical protocols, multidisciplinary team, referral network, and UNOS certification - backed by an academic medical center and Arizona's largest health system. Ideal candidates bring fellowship training in thoracic surgery, lung transplant experience, and the vision to establish a program serving patients across the Southwest. Minimum Qualifications:
  • American Board of Surgery & American Board of Thoracic Surgery certified or eligible
  • Desire to practice within an academic and research setting, including teaching residents, fellows, and medical students
  • All aspects of general thoracic surgery with lung transplant
  • Experience in minimally invasive and robotic techniques
  • Experienced Clinical Faculty and Graduating Thoracic Surgeons with interests in clinical academic practice are encouraged to apply
