Surface Training & Lockout Coordinator

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of industrial experience in mining, milling, maintenance, or operations.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, piping diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Strong knowledge of lockout/tagout, energy isolation, and confined space practices.
• Demonstrated safety leadership experience.
• Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
• Knowledge of OH&S legislation and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and relevant management systems.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for lockout and energy isolation processes in the Mill, Minefield, and Loadout.
• Develop and continuously improve site-wide training programs.
• Facilitate onboarding training, competency qualifications, and refresher training as required.
• Regularly review the energy isolation program and support documents for improvement.
• Update and maintain isolation procedures and standards.
• Serve as liaison between Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Engineering, contractors, and project teams.
• Conduct audits, investigations, and compliance reviews.
