Responsibilities

Job Description:Under the general supervision of the Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Manager, the Supervisor provides first-line supervision to the CDI team. Demonstrates excellent leadership skills, problem-solving skills, and advanced CDI knowledge. This position participates in the planning, development and implementation, and ongoing success of the Clinical Documentation Management Program within the company and supports the CDI departmental goals and philosophy as well as achieving clinical and operational excellence in relation to Clinical Documentation Improvement efforts

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) required. Four (4) years of professional nursing experience may be considered in lieu of the degree in addition to the experience below. Master of Science in Nursing Degree (MSN) preferred.

Experience: F ive (5) years of experience in CDI and experience with CDI quality improvement projects required.

Technical Skills: Experience in training preferred.

License/Certifications:Valid RN license in the State of Nevada OR International Medical Graduate required. Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) preferred.
