As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Supply Chain Procurement Professional to play a key role in delivering an exciting portfolio of capital projects.
The Supply Chain Procurement Professional will be responsible for accountable for delivering assigned outcomes related to the development and execution of category/project supply chain strategies, sourcing strategies and/or sourcing activities following processes and quality requirements . This role would be generally assigned to high complexity and / or risk work assignments with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities:
This work requires collaboration with project leadership, commercial management team, and other multidisciplinary team members and reports to our Team Lead for Project Services & Procurement . The core responsibilities include:
- Develop and plan the implementation of category and/or sourcing strategies or related work packages by using excellent skills in communication, analysis, critical thinking, planning/project management, supplier/market research, problem-solving, and facilitation of decision-making in a large and complex organization
- Accountable for determining appropriate sourcing methods, including the preparation and review of contracting documents such as project procurement strategies, contracting plan, RFP's, RFSQ's, and RFQ's
- Responsible to ensure services and materials are purchased and tracked effectively and in accordance with policies and directives
- Lead and manage end-to-end services for projects that may include developing and conducting multistage RFPs, preparing for and conducting negotiations, both initial award and for implementing supplier relationship management initiatives
- Act as a supply chain expert by advising on category management and/or sourcing best practices, approaches, and standards to enhance current operational efficiency and future capability
- Review Client processes and develop integration packages/execution plans including process and procedure documentation outlining delivery requirements and compliance
RequirementsWho we are looking for:
- A minimum of (10) years of sourcing or category management experience or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in a business -related field such as Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Finance, or equivalent
- Experience in categories or infrastructure capital project sourcing that are similar to BC Hydro practices is considered an asset including BC Hydro sourcing and category management processes and standards, project management practices and public procurement law
- Certificate or additional education in Project Management, Change Management, Facilitation or Communication, is an asset
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
BenefitsCompensation:Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including skillset, experience, qualifications, and other job - related reasons. The salary range for this role is from $77,000 to $110,000 per year.
