Supply Chain Manager (TPI)The Supply Chain Manager reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for building and leading the supply organization supporting TPI's growing radioisotope manufacturing operations. The manager will lead three integrated functions-Shipping & Logistics, Procurement, and Warehousing-and will expand the teams, systems, processes, and supplier relationships necessary to support safe, reliable, and scalable production.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a technically complex and highly regulated environment. The Supply Chain Manager will support both cGMP manufacturing of radioisotope starting materials and non-GMP. The organization must ensure the availability and control of manufacturing consumables, radioactive and hazardous materials, packaging, maintenance spares, equipment, and services while reliably delivering time-sensitive radioisotope products to customers.
The successful candidate will combine strong supply-chain and people leadership with technical aptitude, organizational discipline, and the ability to build systems in a growing organization. The individual must be comfortable working across Operations, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Radiation Safety, Finance, and external suppliers and logistics providers to translate complex manufacturing and regulatory requirements into practical supply-chain solutions.
Responsibilities:Department Leadership & Supply Strategy- Lead and develop the TPI Supply organization encompassing Shipping & Logistics, Procurement, and Warehousing.
- Establish scalable processes, roles, systems, performance measures, and operating standards as TPI manufacturing grows.
- Recruit, develop, and coach a high-performing team capable of supporting cGMP manufacturing and radiologically controlled operations.
- Establish supply strategies that balance production reliability, quality, regulatory compliance, supplier resilience, inventory, and cost.
- Identify supply-chain risks and establish contingency strategies for critical materials, services, equipment, and transportation.
Manufacturing & Maintenance Supply- Translate production schedules and operating plans into material, inventory, procurement, and logistics requirements supporting both GMP and non-GMP radioisotope manufacturing.
- Ensure reliable availability of raw materials, manufacturing consumables, components, packaging, and other production-critical supplies.
- Establish an effective MRO/spare-parts program supporting preventive and corrective maintenance of production and facility equipment.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to establish appropriate stocking levels, reorder strategies, critical-spares classifications, and obsolescence controls.
- Support new-product introduction, process scale-up, facility modifications, and equipment installation through proactive material and supply planning.
Procurement & Supplier Management- Lead sourcing and procurement of materials, consumables, equipment, spare parts, and services required for isotope production and supporting operations.
- Develop and qualify a resilient supplier base, with particular attention to long-lead, single-source, quality-critical, and production-critical items.
- Establish supplier performance and risk-management processes addressing quality, delivery, capacity, documentation, change control, and continuity of supply.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and coordinate quality or technical requirements with Quality, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders.
- Develop secondary-source and contingency strategies where interruption of supply could affect manufacturing or customer commitments.
Warehousing & Material Control- Establish and oversee warehouse and inventory-management systems appropriate for GMP, radiological, hazardous, and general industrial materials.
- Maintain accurate control of material identity, quantity, location, status, lot/batch traceability, expiration, segregation, and disposition as applicable.
- Establish receiving, inspection, staging, issuance, cycle-counting, replenishment, and inventory-control processes supporting reliable production.
- Coordinate with Quality and Radiation Safety to ensure appropriate controls for receipt, storage, movement, release, and disposition of regulated materials.
Shipping & Logistics- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including the time-sensitive shipment of radioactive isotope products to domestic and international customers.
- Diversify qualified transportation providers and processes for radioactive, hazardous, and other regulated shipments.
- Ensure shipment planning, packaging coordination, documentation, chain of custody, tracking, and customer delivery requirements are effectively managed.
- Maintain effective interfaces with Radiation Safety, Quality, customers, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners.
- Establish contingency plans for transportation disruptions, delayed shipments, package issues, and other events that could affect customer delivery.
Systems, Compliance & Continuous Improvement- Establish ERP, inventory, procurement, and logistics processes that provide accurate and timely visibility of material status, inventory, supplier performance, and shipment execution.
- Develop supply-chain procedures and records consistent with TPI's quality-management system and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Quality, Radiation Safety, EHS, and Export Control to ensure supply-chain activities appropriately implement GMP, radioactive-material transportation, radiological safety, hazardous-material, and export-control requirements.
- Develop meaningful KPIs and use data to improve material availability, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, logistics reliability, and cost effectiveness.
- Represent the Supply organization during audits, inspections, operational reviews, and cross-functional risk and change-control activities.
Key Qualification and Skills:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
- Approximately 8+ years of progressively responsible supply-chain, procurement, logistics, warehousing, or operations experience, including meaningful leadership responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience building, improving, or scaling supply-chain organizations, processes, or systems.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, radiopharmaceutical, nuclear, chemical, aerospace, medical-device, or another highly regulated technical manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of GMP/quality-system principles and regulated material control; direct pharmaceutical GMP experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with hazardous-material or radioactive-material logistics strongly preferred; familiarity with DOT/IATA requirements is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience with ERP, inventory-management, procurement, or material-planning systems.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand manufacturing processes, equipment requirements, quality constraints, and regulatory interfaces.
- Demonstrated ability to lead people, solve ambiguous problems, establish disciplined processes, and influence effectively across technical and functional organizations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, integrity, teamwork, and reliable execution.
- Military experience is a plus
