Full Job Description
Manages the Supply Chain functions within the business including order management, purchasing, scheduling, inventory control, warehouse and shipping/receiving. This individual will maintain an ongoing focus on stability, service, inventory, and supply chain efficiencies when developing, implementing, and overseeing the execution of material and finished good planning/scheduling and strategies to enable the site to achieve its specific goals and objectives. This individual will be responsible to ensure the Supply team is performing at optimal levels to ensure that all customer, internal and external, expectations are being satisfied. Through leadership skills, this individual will provide analytical support and guidance with issue resolution and decision-making, as well as oversee the development and tracking of the appropriate processes and KPI measures to ensure success. Essential Functions to include but not limited to; Safety 1 Keep safety in the forefront of the team's thinking and approach to work. Planning 1 Oversee production planning and scheduling programs to meet sales forecasts, balancing manpower, equipment availability while minimizing exec material carrying and overhead costs. 2 Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to achieve on-time deliveries and meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying and transportation costs. 3 Manage site leadtimes to accuratly communicate product avaialablity 4 Manage the establishment, maintance and compliance of inventory stocking agreements 5 Represent the site as the face of Pregis to key customer account relationships 6 React to business conditions ensuring appropriate production volumes and inventories to enable business unit cost and service goals to be met. Purchasing 1 Work with Corporate procurment to ensure that vendor supply is reliable to enable production needed to filfill customer needs. 2 Manage planning team to insure reqisitions and purchase orders are placed timley and appropriatly to enable production while controling spending constraints. Inventory Control 1 Manage cycle count program and physcial inventory events. Analze root cause of count variances and develop and implement corrective actions. 2 Manage and resolve slow moving/inactive inventory and develop plans to avoid writeoffs Warehousing - Shipping/Receiving 1 Ensure 5S program implemented and maintained within warehouse and shipping areas 2 Develop/Manage/Monitor labor utilization plans to optimize costs and take quick corrective actions in response to variances in labor and OT expenses. 3 Ensure all material and inventory tasks are completed physically and systematicaly in timley and safe manner. 4 Evaluate and contirnually seek to improve warehouse space utilization. Transportation 1 Manage carrier interaction and performance as it relates the inbound and outbound flows through the facility. 2 Partner with Corporate Logistics to monitor performance and take corrective meausures related to carrier management. Admistration 1 Leveraging DayForce (HRIS) manage and ensure employees are compliant with attendance, vacation, FMLA, vacation coverage and labor time clocks; provide timley approvals 2 Conduct periodic employee traget and objective setting and performance evalautuons with supervisors and team members. 3 Manage employee performance and disapline while managing companie risk and liabilites Other 1 Acts as the key point of contact for all strategic Supply Chain initiatives 2 Understand site P&L and drivers for performance 3 Set the tone for the department culture, with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Profiatability, and People Development. Attract, retain and developt key talent with in the site. Knowledge, skills, and abilities - Previous supervisory/management expericance required. - Proven track record of project management skills - Strong knowledge of supply chain concepts/process and ability to apply them - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various reports and documents. - Ability to present issues clearly and concisely; generate accurate analysis, with a good understanding of the cause and effect that will occur with each alternative solution both inside and outside the Supply Chain - Ability to lead cross functional decision making processes with all levels of employees - Intermediate level or better of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Sharepoint and MS Teams) expected - Strong SAP system experience and usage to drive results. - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid and concise conclusions and/or recommendations. Education and Experience - BS/BA Supply Chain Management, required. - Minimum of 10 years' experience in a Materials Management/Supply Chain, 5 year in management role.
