The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing aerospace supply chains, developing dual-source strategies for critical materials, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 requirements. This position plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations through effective sourcing, inventory optimization, freight management, and supplier quality management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all procurement and supply chain activities for aerospace wire and cable manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that establish dual-source supply for critical materials and services to mitigate risk and improve supply continuity.
  • Manage procurement of raw materials including bare wire, metals, compounds, tapes, braids, and other production-critical components.
  • Identify and implement cost savings opportunities while achieving annual purchase price variance (PPV) and supplier performance targets.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 requirements related to supplier management, material traceability, certifications, and externally provided products and services.

  • Support outside processing requirements, including heat treating, plating, coating, chemical processing, and other specialized aerospace services.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing, inventory planning, supplier performance, and procurement analytics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience developing supplier strategies, dual-source programs, and supplier performance management processes.
  • Strong background in inventory optimization, demand planning, and procurement cost management.
  • Experience managing freight, transportation, warehousing, and logistics operations.
  • Demonstrated success leading supplier corrective actions and resolving complex supply chain challenges.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced data analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting aerospace wire, cable, harness, or electrical component manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Nadcap-approved special process suppliers and outside processing management.
  • Familiarity with heavy freight transportation, industrial packaging, and material handling requirements.
