Job Description SummaryDauch is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Alamance, North Carolina. This fully onsite role serves as a key strategic partner to plant leadership, playing a critical role leading and optimizing all supply chain activities, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and supplier performance. This role ensures the uninterrupted flow of materials to support manufacturing operations while meeting customer delivery requirements, quality standards, and cost objectives.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive supply chain experience within an OEM or Tier 1 manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will develop strategic supplier relationships, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate cross-functionally to support operational excellence.
Job Description:- Develops and executes supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Oversees demand planning, production scheduling, inventory control, and material flow.
- Ensures timely availability of raw materials and components to meet customer requirements.
- Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) including inventory turns, on-time delivery, supplier performance, and cost reductions.
- Leads sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier development initiatives.
- Maintains strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
- Monitors supplier quality, delivery, and cost performance.
- Identifies and mitigates supply chain risks through contingency planning and supplier diversification.
- Optimizes inventory levels while minimizing carrying costs.
- Manages transportation, warehousing, receiving, shipping, and logistics functions.
- Implements inventory accuracy and cycle count programs.
- Ensures compliance with customer-specific requirements and regulatory standards.
- Collaborates with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Service teams.
- Supports new product launches and engineering changes through effective material planning.
- Leads and mentors supply chain personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drives Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement initiatives.
- Analyzes supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Implements best practices to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in quality management within a Tier 1 or high-value manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing supply chain, procurement, planning or logistics teams.
- 3+ years leading planners, buyers, schedulers, logistics, or warehouse personnel.
- Proficient in supply chain planning, procurement, logistics, inventory control and production scheduling.
- Experience with ERP/MRP Systems (SAP, Oracle, Plex).
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, JIT, Kanban, and Six Sigma principles.
