Supply Chain & Operations Director
The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading and optimizing the company’s global supply chain operations, including sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. This role ensures efficient, cost-effective, and scalable operations to support company’s multi-category product portfolio and international growth.
Specific responsibilities:
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with company growth across North America, Latin America, and global markets
- Drive continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency, cost reduction, and service levels
- Partner with executive leadership on forecasting, demand planning, and expansion initiatives
- Oversee global sourcing strategies, including supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management
- Manage relationships with international manufacturers and vendors to ensure quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness
- Ensure compliance with company standards, audits, and sustainability initiatives
- Lead inbound and outbound logistics, including ocean, air, and domestic transportation
- Optimize warehouse operations and inventory flow across distribution channels
- Ensure on-time delivery to retail partners, e-commerce platforms, and distributors
- Implement forecasting and inventory planning processes to balance availability and working capital
- Reduce stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolescence across product categories
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor supply chain performance (OTIF, inventory turns, cost per unit, etc.)
- Drive automation and system improvements (ERP, WMS, forecasting tools)
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across product development, sales, and finance
- Collaborate with sales and product teams to align supply with demand
- Ensure adherence to quality control processes, inspections, and supplier audits
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
- Support product lifecycle processes from development through delivery
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing supply chain team
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field required
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 8–12+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience in consumer goods, appliances, electronics, or housewares industries
- Strong background in global sourcing, international procurement, and supplier management, particularly in Asia and/or Latin America
- Experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory planning, logistics, and distribution
- Demonstrated success in cost reduction, process optimization, and supply chain transformation initiatives
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and supply chain planning tools
- Experience working with retail and e-commerce distribution channels
- Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
